hawksbill sea turtle thumb The line art drawing of the Hawksbill Sea Turtle was completed in 2004 and the digital tinting added by hand in 2007. The original colored version had a different background, which was replaced with the current version.

Information about the Hawksbill Sea Turtle:

Hawksbill Sea Turtles are most commonly found coral reefs and lagoons of oceanic islands. These turtles are relatively small to medium-sized with a distinctive hawk-like beak. As an adult, the Hawksbill may reach up to 3 feet in length and weigh up to 300 pounds. The decline of this species is primarily due to human exploitation for tortoiseshell.
