Artist's notes:
The
line art version of the Burmese Python was completed in
2004 and the digital tinting added in 2007. The drawing
is based on a photo by the talented wildlife photographer
Pete Carmichael.

Information about the Burmese Python:
The Burmese Python is the largest subspecies of the Indian
Python and one of the six biggest snakes in the world. They
are native to rainforest areas of Southeast Asia. This python
is one of the largest of all snakes, growing up to 25 feet
and weighing up to 400 pounds. It can be found in grasslands,
swamps, rocky foothills, woodlands, and jungles.
