Artist's notes:
 The
Humpback Whale line art drawing was completed in 2004 and
the digital tinting added in 2007. The tinting was redone
in 2008 and a background dropped in that was not part of
the original design. The color of the whale was changed
too to more accurately depict the coloration of the animal.

Information about the Humpback Whale:
Humpback Whales are baleen whales that live in polar
and tropical waters. It performs complex and cooperative
feeding techniques. Humpbacks have huge, mottled white flippers
with rough edges that are up to one-third of its body length.
These are the largest flippers of any whale. The Humpback
Whale is know for it’s beautiful underwater songs. The Humpback
is the official state marine mammal of Hawaii.
